Insurance
As a courtesy to our patients, Tashner Vision Clinic offers free submission of medical claims to your medical insurance provider. If you have a medical condition that is eligible for coverage by your medical insurance and you wish to have us submit your claim, please bring your insurance card to your appointment.
Medicare
Tashner Vision Clinic is a Medicare provider, and therefore, we accept Medicare's allowed amount for covered charges. Deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and non-covered services are the patient's responsibility.
Medicaid
All medical assistance patients must identify their insurance coverage PRIOR to making an appointment. We must call to verify coverage PRIOR to setting up an appointment. Medical assistance patients are required to have a current card. Patients who do not present a current card at the appointment, will be required to pay in full for all services and merchandise. Medical assistance requires co-pays for each service provided, and all co-pays are due in full at the time of service. All merchandise not covered by medical assistance must be paid for in full before ordering.
Discounts
Our clinic believes in providing each patient with the best possible service and highest quality merchandise, and we put forth a special effort to keep our services and merchandise as affordable as possible. All service fees are the same for everyone and can not be discounted. Due to the high quality of our optical and to maintain equal treatment for all of our patients, we prefer to not offer special individual discounts. Please visit our promotions for more information.
Billing
Payment is expected at the time of service. All charges are the patient's responsibility. Payment for the cost of services not covered by insurance is due in full at the time the service is provided.
We electronically file on a weekly basis, and refile every 30 days. If a patient's insurance provider does not respond within 60 days, charges become the patient's responsibility for payment in full within 30 days, and further insurance inquiries should be directed by the patient to the customer service number provided by the insurance company.
